The Dashboard is the internal-facing side of Assembly Studio. It lives at dashboard.assembly.com and is only accessible to your team — never your clients. Everything you do as an operator happens here: managing the client list, running built-in apps like Messages and Payments, configuring workspace settings, and building new apps.

What’s in the Dashboard

The CRM

Clients, companies, custom fields, and notes. The system of record for who your firm serves.

Apps

Every installed app appears in the left sidebar — built-in or custom-built, internal-only or client-facing. They all live here for your team.

Add App

Opens the app builder. The Build tab lets you create a new app from a prompt; the Explore tab lets you add existing built-in apps and embeds.

Settings

Workspace branding, custom domains, team members, billing, integrations.

How custom-built apps appear here

When you build an app, Assembly Studio installs it into your Dashboard the same way a built-in app would. It shows up in your sidebar with the name and icon you chose during the build. Click it and you’re in the app. For client-facing apps, the Dashboard view is your team’s view. Your clients see something different in the Portal — see Apps for how those views relate.

Who has access

Only internal users — you and your team members. Your clients can’t reach the Dashboard, even if they know the URL. They go to the Portal instead. Within the team, what someone sees depends on their role. See Internal users for how admins and staff differ.
If you ever need to demo Assembly Studio to a client or prospect, do it from a Portal sign-in, not the Dashboard. The Dashboard is your team’s surface and isn’t designed for client-facing context.
