Payment links enable you to receive payments from individuals who may not yet have established a client account within your portal. Unlike standard invoices and subscriptions, payment links operate globally and aren’t restricted to any particular client. You can distribute them across multiple channels including your website, email communications, or direct messaging platforms. When a user accesses a payment link, they arrive at a checkout interface for a designated service. If they lack an existing client account, they’ll supply their email address. Following payment completion, they progress through a streamlined self-service registration process and become integrated into your CRM as a new client contact. This structure enables the client lifecycle to commence with a payment transaction, creating fresh opportunities for client acquisition, service sales, and checkout simplification. Follow these steps to establish a new payment link:
  1. Navigate to the Payments app.
  2. Open the Payment links tab.
  3. Click the + Create Payment link button.
  4. Choose or create a service for this link.
  5. Configure any additional settings (e.g., description, payment preferences).
  6. Click Create to generate the link.
The resulting link can be distributed widely and isn’t associated with any specific client. Anyone can utilize it.
  • If the person is not logged in or lacks a client account in your workspace, they’ll input their email address.
  • If the email represents a new contact, they’ll go through expedited self-service registration after submitting payment information during checkout.
  • Upon completing signup, they’re directed to your portal and recorded in your CRM.
You can tailor this experience through automations, for instance, requesting clients submit an intake form or arrange a consultation directly following payment. Payment links work well for marketing sites displaying multiple service options. For example:
  1. Add buttons representing each pricing tier on your website.
  2. Connect each button to its corresponding payment link.
  3. Upon purchase completion, the person gains automatic signup access and portal entry.
This arrangement provides frictionless onboarding without relying on external services. Your clients arrive in a branded environment featuring welcome communications, intake processes, and supplementary features.
