Overview

The Exporter App facilitates data extraction from Assembly Dashboard. As stated in the guide, “It should be easy to get data into Assembly, but we also want it to be as easy as possible to get data out.” Currently, the tool is limited to exporting message histories in CSV or PDF formats, with plans to expand functionality in future updates.

App setup

Installation requires four steps:
  1. Navigate to App Library and select + Add an app.
  2. Choose Exporter from the Internal Apps section.
  3. Click Install in the top-right corner.
  4. Configure a title and icon, then click Add.

Export configuration options

Users can customize exports through several parameters:
  • Export Format: Choose between CSV or PDF for message exports.
  • Channels: Select a single client or company channel for data extraction.
  • Sender User Type: Filter messages by internal users, client users, or both.
  • Sort Order: Arrange results in ascending or descending chronological order.
  • Date Range: Options include last 7 days, last month, or all-time exports.

Download process

Exported files automatically download to the user’s Downloads folder in the specified format.
