# Notion embed

> Embed a published Notion page as a welcome page inside your client portal.

Assembly enables you to integrate Notion pages as welcome pages within your client portal to facilitate onboarding and provide an overview of portal functionality.

## App setup

1. Create your page in Notion, click **Share** at the top of your Notion page, select the **Publish** tab, and click **Publish**.

2. Click **Embed this page** and copy the embed code.

3. Go to **App Library** in the Assembly Dashboard and click **+ Add an app** in the upper-right corner.

4. Select **Notion**. After clicking on the app, click on **Install** in the top-right.

5. Name your app, choose an icon, and choose the setup type. Assembly recommends setting this up as an **automatic** App so that your Notion page will be visible to all clients. If you only want this App to be visible to one or more specific clients, set this as a **manual** App.

6. Leave the app set to **Show as embed** so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.

7. Go back to the **App Setup** page, paste the embed code into the content box, and click **Add** to be redirected to the app.

To preview the app as a client, click **Portal** at the bottom of the sidebar and click **Open portal**. Once you're logged in as your test client, you'll be able to view the connected app.

<Note>
  Notion only allows **view-only** embeds.
