# Monday embed

> Connect a Monday.com board view to your portal as an embed or link.

## Overview

Monday.com lets you track projects and workflows, visualize data, and collaborate with teams. You can connect a **Board** view by following the instructions below.

## App setup

1. Go to **App Library**, and click **+ Add an app** in the top right corner.
2. Select **Monday** in the **Client-facing** section.
3. After clicking on the app, click on **Install** in the top-right.
4. Set a title and icon that represent the app.
5. We recommend setting this up as a **manual** app so that you can embed different data for each client. If you want this app to be visible to all clients, set this as an **automatic** app.
6. Next, click **Add**. You will be taken to the app's page, where you can set the embed for each client, group, or company.
7. Click **Add** to add your first embed or link. Select the client(s) or company to share the app with.
8. Select **Show as embed** so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.
9. Next, go to your Monday.com board and follow the instructions [here](https://support.monday.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009695080-How-to-share-a-board-view-publicly) to embed a board view. You can use either the embed code or shareable link.
10. Go back to the app page in Assembly, paste the copied link into the content box, and click **Save**.

  Monday only allows **view-only** embeds. This is because Monday's pricing model only allows collaboration between paid users.
