# Google Drive embed

> Embed Google Drive files and folders into your portal.

Google Drive enables file storage and sharing capabilities. You can embed any **file** from Google Drive by following the setup instructions below. To embed **folders** from Google Drive, additional configuration is needed, which is detailed later in this guide.

## App setup

1. Navigate to **App Library** and select **+ Add an app** in the top right corner.
2. Choose **Google Drive** from the **Client-facing** section.
3. Click **Install** in the top-right after selecting the app.
4. Assign a name and icon to the app, then configure visibility settings for clients.
5. For visibility to all clients, configure as an **automatic** App. For specific clients only, set as a **manual** App.
6. Ensure the app is set to **Show as embed** so clients remain within the portal.
7. Open your desired file in Google Drive.
8. Click the three vertical dots menu (top-right) and select **Share**. Verify sharing permissions are set to "Anyone with the link can view."
9. Access the same menu and select **Open in new window**.
10. In the new window, click the top-right menu and select **Embed item...**.
11. Copy the iframe code provided.
12. Return to the App setup page and paste the iframe code into the content box.
13. Click **Add** to complete setup and view the configured app.
