# Figma embed

> Embed Figma designs in your portal to share them with clients.

## Overview

"Figma is a collaborative design tool for building meaningful products that users can seamlessly design, prototype, develop, and collect feedback in a single place." The Assembly platform enables sharing Figma designs with clients directly within your portal. This guide covers embedding Figma **Designs** specifically.

## App setup

The process involves several steps:

1. Navigate to **App Library** and select **+ Add an app** in the top right corner.
2. Choose **Figma** from the **Client-facing** section.
3. Click **Install** in the top-right after selecting the app.
4. Provide a name and icon for the app.
5. Configure as either **manual** (to embed different designs per client) or **automatic** (for visibility across all clients).
6. Click **Add** to access the app's page where you can configure embeds for clients, groups, or companies.
7. Click **Add** to create your first embed or link and select the intended recipients.
8. Select **Show as embed** to keep clients within the portal experience.
9. Open the Design you wish to share in your Figma account.
10. Click **Share** in the top right corner.
11. Under the **Invite** tab, configure permissions to **Anyone with the link can view**.
12. Click **Get embed** at the bottom of the invite modal and copy the iframe code.
13. Return to the Assembly app page, paste the iframe code into the content box, and click **Save**.

<Note>
"Figma only allows view-only embeds: while you can select the option to allow visitors to edit, the edit functionality is prohibited when used in an iframe in Assembly."
