# Calendly embed

> Embed your Calendly scheduling page or a specific event so clients can book time directly from your portal.

## Overview

Assembly makes it simple to schedule time with your clients with Calendly directly from your portal. You can embed your scheduling page to make it easy for clients to schedule time with you, or embed a specific event you would like your clients to access.

## App setup

1. Go to **App Library**, and click **+ Add an app** in the top right corner.
2. Select **Tasks** in the **Client-facing** section.
3. After clicking on the app, click on **Install** in the top-right.
4. Set a title and icon that represent the app. For example, a scheduling page could be titled "Book a Meeting", or a specific event could be titled using the event title itself.
5. We recommend setting this up as an **automatic** app so that your Calendly will be visible to all clients. If you only want this App to be visible to one or more specific clients, set this as a **manual** App.
6. Leave the app set to **Show as embed** so that the client isn't directed outside of the portal.
7. Go to your **My Calendly** page on calendly.com.
8. To create a **scheduling** page app, right-click on the link under your username and copy it.
9. To create a **specific event** app, click the **Copy Link** button under the event you wish to embed.
10. Go back to the **App Setup** page and paste the copied link into the content box.
11. Click **Add** to be redirected to the app.

To preview the app as a client, click **Portal** at the bottom of the sidebar and click **Open portal**. Once you're logged in as your test client you'll be able to view the connected app.
