# Create contacts one at a time

> Add a single contact from the Contacts page and invite them now or later.

The simplest way to add a contact is through the **Contacts** page. Once created, you can invite them immediately or delay the invitation. Contacts with **Not invited** status won't receive email notifications, allowing you to set up their profile first by uploading files or assigning forms.

## Create a contact

1. Navigate to the **Contacts** page.
2. Click on **New contact** and then **Create contact**.
3. Enter the contact's information. Companies (if enabled) are optional.
4. Click on **Create**.

## Invite a contact

After creating a contact, two invitation paths are available depending on your configuration:

**If magic links are enabled:**

1. A share modal appears with three options:
   * Click **Copy magic link** to share the invite link manually
   * Click **Email magic link** to send an email invitation
   * Click **Close** to delay inviting (you can invite later from the Contacts page)

**If magic links are not enabled:**

1. An invite modal appears with three options:
   * Copy the invite link manually and close the modal
   * Click **Send email invite** to email the invitation
   * Click **Close** to delay inviting (you can invite later from the Contacts page)
